POLAND.

Theme: Insulating & Decarbonising Homes / Immediate Relief Initiatives

Objective: Create a series of images for a photo exhibition depicting the fight against Energy Poverty in five European countries. All five stories together will lead to an overarching narrative on Energy Poverty. With the aim for citizens and politicians to believe in the feasibility and power of green, socially just solutions that come from the people.

Execution: Use the five countries to highlight a different aspect of the issue: Building renovations, cooling, community energy, communities being cut off from the energy grid and decarbonising homes. Along with the still images that were taken, I also audio-interviewed the participants so they had a chance to share their stories in detail to give the images a deeper narrative, these stories are accessible through a QR code displayed throughout the exhibition.
